INGID at ASID Senegal.

At the recent 6th ASID congress:  AFRICAN SOCIETY IMMUNODEFICIENCY meeting in Dakar, Senegal,  INGID was represented by INGID’s vice president Theo Grosse-Kreul.

Theo was fortunate to be sponsored by the Jeffrey Model Foundation.

 

The focus at ASID this tear was on paediatric health emphasising the need to work harder to save more children in Africa with PID. There was also sessions on HAE by a patient and a physician.

Theo reported that INGID had a successful nurses meeting at with 15 participants, consisting of nurses, patients and doctors. The session was well received and a request was made for further sessions. Theo undertook a presentation titled The  immune system and Immunoglobulin.

Theo was also part of the international organising committee and was awarded a gift at the opening ceremony for her work.
