INGID has had a busy time and recently we have been working hard to plan and prepare our first ever virtual conference. With the valuable help and support we have received from ESID, a virtual program has been created which we believe will be engaging, interactive and a high value way to listen and learn. Our finalised program will be published soon and we are very grateful to ESID for this opportunity.
If you are looking forward to our first ever INGID 2020 Online Meeting as much as we are, please take advantage of the Early-Bird Registration Deadline.
Register at https://esidmeeting.org/ before September 8 and you will benefit from the early bird rate.
Other news from INGID
Our regular board meetings have continued via ZOOM whilst we have been continuing to live through unprecedented times as COVID 19 affects us all. In some countries COVID restrictions are lifting whilst in others isolation and restrictions are continuing. We have strived to be diligent ensuring that INGID has continued to act as a support network and educational tool for immunology nurses throughout the world in these challenging times.
INGID supported and participated in the 10th World PI week in April 2020. It focused on ensuring that patients have direct access to the care and life-saving therapies they need.
We are delighted to announce that Carla Duff our current President has had a successful recent publication “Nuts and Bolts of Subcutaneous Therapy” which gives an excellent thorough overview of SCIG.
There have been some changes on the INGID board over the past few months and there are some further exciting developments being planned. Geraldine Dunne has been directed to the role of vice-treasurer and Rosalind Fisher is currently transitioning into managing the web-site which is now being merged with the Director of Communications role. Geraldine has done a brilliant job writing our newsletters and web-site and we are all very grateful to her.
