Welcome to 2019 from INGID board

Happy New Year to all INGID members!

Welcome to 2019.

We hope you have returned to work refreshed and ready to embrace the challenges that 2019 may hold for us all in caring for people living with immunodeficiency. It can be difficult at times to keep that end goal in mind when for many of us, working in bureaucratic or inefficient systems can become the most pressing issue and can sometimes take away or reduce the emphasis, time and resources we have available to spend with, caring for, educating and hopefully improving the quality of life of our patients.

I’m not one for new years resolutions usually, but this year, on a professional level at least I will aim to balance the work of caring and the work of navigating the system within which I work.

Looking ahead to 2019, there is much to look forward to. I hope you have had a chance to peruse the events page and you may be able to attend one of the interesting meetings listed. We also hope to see many of you in Brussels in September.

If you would like to make a new years resolution of your own, how about considering submitting an abstract to INGID this year ?

Best wishes for the year ahead

Geraldine
