I had the pleasure of attending the Swedish National Conference: SISSI and SLIPI, which had delegates and from many countries including of course Sweden, Denmark and Norway. As always, we were given a fantastic welcome and enjoyed many interesting conversations regarding patient care and health systems. I gave two presentations; the first being about complications associated with incorrect needle sizing in SCIg. On Day 2, I presented Malignancy and Primary Immunodeficiency, which focused on understanding the different disease mechanisms according to PID classification, recognition of risk of different cancers in each and how to individualise nursing care according to genetic or clinical diagnosis. The talks were well received and followed by some great questions. It was a real pleasure to meet up with the Scandinavian nurses again; both old friends and new faces alike.

I was invited to speak about our experience with working with families living with Inborn errors of the Immune system, and the Health Care Transition Process. I was invited after presenting on ESID Grand Round 22: Transitional Guidelines. It was an honour to share learning, and advocate for our families, from the time of diagnosis to Healthcare Transitioning. This included the impact of their conditions on family life, acknowledging is, and supporting families through their Healthcare journey, and the need for Health care Professionals to utilise research regarding the Teenage brain ( sixteen years to twenty five years), to ensure they receive the care is developmentally informed. The SLIPI and SISSI practitioners were so welcoming and receptive to this Lost in Transition presentation, and by giving a voice to families ensures our shared goal of improving our patient care and family care can be achieved.
